Most electrical and electronics problems can be traced back to a bad connection. This is the vast majority of the time. Knowing this it's an easy decision to make a special effort to install and maintain contacts using a corrosion preventor.

Rated #1 in Practical Sailor's December 2010 issue, NO-OX-ID showed itself to be a far superior product by preventing corrosion better then all the competition.

NO-OX-ID is a high-molecular weight conductive grease that does a great job of blocking air and moisture while improving the contact surface's electrical properties. Use it whenever you're doing an electical installation or repair.

So throw a 8-oz tube in your electrical tool kit. One tube will probably last you years.
