We've taken the advice of the rescue and repelling equipment manufacturers that make the Fall Preventer for us. We are now offering this beefy 3/8" diameter screw-lock carabiner individually or as a standard component of our Fall Preventer.

Weather you use a fall preventer or hand-belay your safety line, this carabiner should be used as the central connection point for your harness, bo's'ns chair, Lifting Halyard and Safety Halyard. This is the force node that your life literally depends on. This unit is fabricated to withstand loads exceeding 1500 pounds.

If you're ascending the mast, don't risk using a typical straight-gate (non-locking) carabiner. Ropes can cross the carabiner and open the gate exposing you to risk of falling by severely decreasing the shock-load strength of the carabiner.

This powerful 316 stainless carabiner is a full 3/8" diameter. Every boat should have a least one of this easily deployable units onboard for emergencies or anywhere a strong connection point is required.
