Absolutely no glare on the users face, the LED headlights are focused perfectly at 2 - 6 feet. The Nightcap's dual-beam LED's are aimed perfectly without adjustment. I used to use a headband for hands-free lighting but headbands are inconvenient compared to the Nightcap. Just put the hat on and click the brim switch. The light will be on your subject not in your eyes. It looks great during the day too!
Our dual-beam LED's are powered by two standard disk batteries that fit comfortably into the brim. We estimate about 50 hours of usage per set.
Keep at least one Nightcap on board. You'll need more once you try it out.
